What is a mineral grade?
Grade is a measurement of the metal content of ore. The grade of precious metal ore is usually measured in troy ounces per tonne or grams per tonne. The grade of ore bearing other metals is usually a percentage (the weight for weight proportion of metal in the ore).
The grade of ore from a mine cbmges over time. A lower grade will (other things being equal) mean a higher cost per unit weight of extracted metal. Costs are also influenced by other factors such as the costs of the actual mining of ore itself.
Ore grade should be based on sampling test results to be obtained. In the beneficiation process, should always grasp the ore grade, concentrate grade and tailing grade cbmges in order to better analyze the problems in the dressing production.
The ore grade of run of mine means to enter the metal percentage of the total ore quantity contained in the processing of the ore concentrator. It is one of the indicators reflect the quality of one of the basic data concentrator metal balance.
Concentrate grade of contained metal total concentrate the number of percentage of concentrate, which reflects one of the indicators of the quality of concentrate.
Tailings grade metal percentage of the total ore quantity contained in the tailings, it reflects the loss of metal in the ore dressing process.
